We had such a wonderful time. The girls LOVED spending time with their cousins and grandparents. They think it's so cool to have 'sleepovers' with Ella in the 'playroom' at the Lake House...and get up in the morning and go down stairs to see Grandpa and Nana (who would make them breakfast in the am...i think??...well, someone did). I would love to say that their favorite part of the trip was the riding around on a boat on their birthday, or swimming at the AWESOME pool at the resort, or the neat trainride at the park, or Barton Springs with the refreshing water....but NO...I think their FAVORITE thing on the trip was getting to ride in Nana and Grandpa's car (sans carseat...they just rode to the pool and back...no major roads). This is what they talked about for a while! They did admit to liking the other fun parts...but I guess what "they" say is true, it's the little things in life that make you happy!
I should also note that the girls were so very well behaved on this trip. I am so thankful because the trip started off rough for me....sinusitis and laryngitis....a quick trip to the quick care clinic....and I am still fighting it today!! But I can see that this trip could have been WAY more stressful if the girls did not behave. I am so proud of them for being sweet and patient (most of the time) on vacation. Since this blog is for them, I want to make sure they know how blessed we are that they make traveling fun!
