Labor Day part II

So I am just catching up on posting the second half of our Labor Day weekend. My whole family decided to rent a lodge at Chicot State Park and camp for the weekend. Hayley and her family brought their camper and stayed in the campground and hung out with us during the day. It was a very fun primative weekend...ie, no internet, cell phone reception or TV. But there were so many people there, that it didn't matter. The girls really enjoyed spending time with their cousins, walking to the pier to check out the swamp and the alligator hanging out there, and watching the older kids fish. Isabella even held a fish for the first time! Our kids had their first cochon de lait...well, kinda..we cooked a pork shoulder and ribs in a Cajun Microwave.
The girls cried on Tuesday when we had to leave and return to Houston. They were not ready to leave their Louisiana family!

didn't really catch it, but still got to hold it!
