a dash of color

the flowers here in Belgium are beautiful!!  I love having flowers/trees blooming in my back yard...obviously I didn't plant any which is why they have survived and are thriving. The girls enjoy going out and picking/cuting flowers and making arrangements for the house. My friend Vanda has a love/passion for plants and flowers and teaches te girls about the different types of flowers in our yard. For their birthday she bought them a watering can and told them she would take them to buy flowers and plant them in a flower box in our front yard. So yesterday she cashed in on her promise by taking the kids to Mc D's for lunch then to the garden center and let the girls pick the flowers they wanted to plant. Then they came home and got their hands dirty and created a beautiful flower bed! The girls LOVED every minute of the dirtiness! But they were very good students and listened and learned about how to plant!
